The hydraulic wedge or prying arm allows the felling of big trees (from 45 cm diameter at chest height) without a lot of vibration, so reducing the danger of falling deadwood. The low profile aluminium pressure plate protects the steel working parts from chainsaw damage. 15 stainless steel bolts give a firm grip even on frozen trunks. The combined pump pedal and release mechanism makes for easier removal of the lifting plate when stuck in the trunk.
