Bison 1879 series - hand-forged axe made of high-quality steel according to old craftsmanship. A large ax with a high head weight and a special, crowned head shape for an extremely high splitting performance, even with strong pieces of wood. The cutting edge is ground medium-sharp and slightly convex - for high splitting energy and long dimensional stability. The solid, straight handle creates a pre-load that additionally supports the splitting process. The natural hickory handle is particularly hand-friendly and easy to grip thanks to its varnished surface. Each axe is delivered with a robust leather cutting edge protection and only original with the BISON.
